Kindly gifted to the children’s charity CHAS (Children’s Hospices Across Scotland) in 2020, this unique venue re-opened with a new profit for purpose business model under CHAS ownership in July 2021.

With plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces, fresh air in abundance, and a wonderfully relaxed feeling, you and your guests can enjoy this beautiful, away-from-it-all setting.

Location

You’ll find Ardoch at the top of a long, secluded, tree-lined private drive, close to the pretty village of Gartocharn on the south-east side of the loch, in the stunning Trossachs National Park. Standing on high ground, in the middle of a 133 private acre estate, Ardoch overlooks the iconic Loch Lomond with mountains beyond on one side and lush farmland on the other.

Best of all, we are an easy escape to reach from almost anywhere, only 27 miles from Glasgow, 27 miles from Stirling and 73 miles from Edinburgh. Exclusive use

A wedding is a special experience, which is why we offer a 3-day package to get the most out of your stay. Arrive on Friday afternoon and get to know the venue. Relax with some delicious food (we especially recommend a BBQ), enjoy a few drinks, and get a good night's rest. On Saturday morning, you and your resident guests will enjoy breakfast and then start getting ready for your exciting day. There’s also plenty of time for relaxing and exploring the grounds or time to take a visit to the loch. Enjoy your wedding and wake up on Sunday with your loved ones still around you. Savour a tasty breakfast and checkout. Once you’re here on Friday you will have everything you need, so all your focus can be on enjoying your big day. All our happy couples can enjoy a completely stress-free experience. Make your wedding even more special with the option to extend your stay with us.

Your guests will also be the only ones on the estate, so they will not be checking in when another wedding party is leaving, or meeting other guests at the bar. The venue is all yours.

Limited number of weddings each year

Ardoch is a place to experience the best wedding possible. As Ardoch has a limited amount of weekends to host weddings, exclusivity is key, so you will be unlikely to know someone else who has been married here. A unique wedding, a special experience, and a fabulous surprise for your guests.

Inside the building is a seamless mix between traditional and modern, with a light and natural feel. A perfect background for any choice of décor or theme. Flexibility

As every couple is different so every wedding should be individual. Guests can enjoy a bespoke service and flexibility (keeping within logistical and legal restrictions of course). From the ceremony location (we have several options), to the timings of the day (we will work around your chosen ceremony time), to the weather (if we have to push back your ceremony slightly to allow your chosen ceremony location we will make it happen).

Timings

There are no set times or rules on how your day should run. If you want to mix things up and do things a bit differently, we will help to make this happen, provide you with ideas, and provide supplier recommendations.

Catering

We use external caterers and have a list of recommended ones we work with regularly. However, if you wish to use a different certified caterer you are more than welcome. By being flexible with the catering it means your wedding meal will be bespoke to you. Also, if you want to move away from a formal sit-down meal and opt for bowl food or a BBQ option, you have the flexibility and choice to do this too. We are also a licensed premises, so we can create bespoke drinks packages for you, and our bar is open for the duration of your stay from 11am - 12midnight.

We are a small close-knit team who are passionate about Ardoch and making your special day the best it can be. Working closely with you, we will help plan your dream wedding, and we will be with you through the weekend to ensure it runs smoothly. We also have an extensive list of recommended suppliers we work with who are local and know our venue.
